She took the words right out of my mouth

J and I were having a family jam session today. He was dancing around and singing into the microphone while I was playing a little Joplin. (I use the terms "dancing" and "singing" loosely here.) He was actually shouting some little phrase he'd made up over and over and over. And over. I was struggling to be tolerant - didn't want to stifle his creativity or anything - but I was starting to wish he'd sing something else.

H, had been sitting on the bed in the next room reading her "Bible." (It's actually a hymnbook, but she insists it's a Bible.) Apparently her patience is a little shorter than mine, because part way through our third or fourth round of Maple Leaf Rag she'd had enough. She stomped over to the door, she poked her head in, and firmly told him, "J! Pipe down!"

It made me laugh so hard, the song was over anyway!

That's hilarious! She has quite the personality. Give the kids a hug from me.

How funny!

You are such a good Mom SJ. Your stories brighten my day.

Blessings,

Lori

Remember that examine I wrote about? Mine didn't go so well. I would love to be able to ask you a few questions sometime. I have to have a surgical biopsy next Friday. The radiologist told me I needed to contact a surgeon right away. I'm a little frightened.
